Holiday Tree Lighting- To Be Announced

Annual Community Holiday Tree Lighting in front of the Amity City Hall right after the Holiday Light Parade.  There will be caroling, hot chocolate, hot cider, and cookies.  Santa Claus will also be there.  Kids are invited to make ornaments ahead of time that is edible for the birds. 

 

Christmas Done Bright- Holiday Light Display Contest

Residents within the city limits of Amity are invited to participate in Amity's Holiday Outdoor Decorating Contest.

Easter Egg Hunt- March 30th, 2013

The Easter Egg Hunt is held on the Saturday before Easter. Children up to the age of nine can come down to the Amity City Park at 10:00am to hunt for eggs filled with candy hidden by the Amity Fire District volunteers. The park is divided into different age groups and a few lucky children from each group have a chance to find a special prize egg!


Amity Daffodil Festival- March 23rd and 24th 2013

During the daffodil season, the Hostpitality, Tourism, and Recreation class from the Amity High School puts on the Amity Daffodil Festival.  The Festival will be held at the Amity Elementary School. The event has a variety of activities to offer.  Some of the highlights of the festival are judged daffodil and art shows that feature student and adult work. There will be a delicious continental breakfast and lunch buffet that will be served throughout the day. THe Amity Daffodil Festival also has a plant sale that includes products from many local nurseries, and self-guided driving tours that show off our wineries, landscape, and art galleries around the area.

The Daffodil Festival is a wonderful tradition that attracts people not only around the state, but also from around the world. This event gives our small town a chance to show off our beautiful land and friendly atmosphere.  You may email daffodil@amity.k12.or.us if you have any questions.

Summer Fun on Friday Nights (Formally "Movies in the Park")- Begins June 28, 2013

On Friday nights during the summer, come to the Amity City Park and enjoy free movies, popcorn and other various events.

Appetizers for Improvement - August 17, 2013

  Contact Amity DIG for volunteering.  Help is needed prior to event, during the 
  event and also after the event.  Volunteer for one hour or more.  These
  funds raised help with flower baskets, banners, movies in the park,  
  educational presentations, Christmas tree lighting and more.

Tractor Pulls
The tractor pull is a new event that began in 2007. It is regularly held the same weekend as the Amity Pancake Breakfast.


National Night Out- To Be Announced

Residents in Amity and across te nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening at the park with neighbors and members of the police department. There are usually food and games...FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!

Pumpkin Painting- To be Announced

Come decorate your own pumpkin to place on your front porch or in your yard! This year, pumpkin painting will be held in the old fire station, next to city hall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
